our guys go to block or out run the opposition and that opponent will not move as easily or will run stride for stride. I do think Arky St. is much better than people thought although not a good prep for a slugfest like Stanford. Idaho, for my money, was litlle more than a scrimmage. Hogan reminds me of all the Cal qb's after Rodgers, just not good enough to really scare anyone. I think Stanford has played better athletes than SC has in it's first two games and was sleeoing on their trip to NW. UCF, in my opinion, is still a Florida team, with good players and although beating them late, Stanford still put 31 on the board and more importantly didn't allow much rushing. The Stanford D Line doesn't scare me as much as it did with Parry and Anderson, but still has the final remnants of the Harbaugh era-with big linebackers.
I think SC will adjust after the first half but I believe it will take at least a quarter to adjust to the physical nature of Stanford. And by the same token, I don't believe Stanford will have seen the team speed that SC has, nor their improved depth from previous years.
If anyone gets up on the other early, I believe it will be SC with their skill players causing Hogan to take on more of a role and get into some historical problems. I don't see a debacle from several years ago where Stanford just came out on that Thursday nite and beat up on the Trojans.
