Just watched Colin's show today. Someone called in to ask him who the "guy with the Brinks truck" was from a few weeks ago. Colin reiterated that it was a "big name" and that if word got out then the deal would be off.
He also said that the target's own coaching situation had a lot to do with the move, and since the potential target just had two really good weeks...especially this last weekend...his situation got more stable which might have made it unlikely for him to go make a move to USC.
Just a few more clues here...I'm genuinely curious who Colin was talking about. Might have also been hot air to pump up ratings for his show, but what big name coach was in an iffy situation previously but just had two really good weeks?
