With the release of the NCAA emails I see some posters calling out Mike Garrett for being partially responsible for bringing down the NCAA on USC, yet the only instance (publicly) I can recall of him thumbing his nose at the NCAA was his "they all want to be Trojans" comment at a fundraiser. From the beginning USC had fully cooperated with the NCAA investigation, and it was also noted in the COI findings as well that they did.
So what gives? I realize Mike wasn't a very likeable guy but the dude was 100% Trojan.
