It Does Not! So Please Stop It! Just because you now see a coach that makes some decisions better than Kiffin and Sark, you're ready to give him the keys to the Kingdom!
Well my friend, ANY Mid-Major head coach worth his $500.000 salary could and would make better situation decisions than our previous two halo boys. Just because Helton has shown a bit more acumen does not mean he is the man experienced enough to train our boys in all three phases of the game during fall camp. Or take control of the wheel from an assistant coach be it on offense OR defense in a crisis situation, late in the 4th quarter when that coach can't quite figure it out. That's what a top 5 head coach should be able to do for a top 5 program. Helton is well liked and works hard, but he is only a OC. I don't think ANYBODY should have a top 5 program for their VERY FIRST head coaching job!
I heard a man say that even with a great deal of dedication, you don't win it in the game, you win it in the preparation. Has Helton shown he is experienced and wise enough to be the guy responsible for PREPARING and TRAINING the USC TROJAN football team in ALL THREE PHASES to win NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS? I think not. Sorry!
