I have to give it up to Rob Pelinka for making some great moves to put the Lakers in position to make the playoffs. They are playing really well right now even without Lebron and D Lo, and their remaining schedule is pretty manageable.
I got emotional during Pau's jersey retirement tonight. He is such a well spoken and amazing ambassador for the game. After the game, I had to go back and watch the highlights from the 2009 and 2010 NBA finals. Those Lakers teams were lit. They had so many dudes. It was inspirational to watch them play together.
I also went back to watch the 2020 NBA finals highlights. That is another Lakers team that was absolutely loaded. When healthy with the right supporting cast, Lebron and AD are such an unstoppable force together. Fingers crossed they can make some noise this year. At the very least this team has made it an exciting home stretch to the season.
