...(and one of the reasons why he only got my vote by default) is that he can't help getting down in the mud. For example: This whole thing with the bishop--just let it go. Don't climb off of the moral high ground and throw petty insults. Just thank her for her compassion but point out that 1) she lives in a fantasy world and isn't burdened by real-world practical governance, 2) She's gaslighting and feeding into this hysteria that LGBTQ people have something to fear, thus creating division.

He has to work to maintain an air of dignity while still doing what he has to do (and what we voted him in to do). Don't be obnoxious and make it easy for others to vilify and form a coalition against you.

Again, hopefully these daily columns become conversation starters and gets some good dialogue going through the offseason. Let me know your thoughts!
