Guys, if I heard you correctly on the podcast, at least one (maybe both) of you said that you're ready to move on from Enfield. Really? Have you noticed what is going on in recruiting? And in terms of results, I know you loved Tim Floyd (as did I). Floyd's last three seasons: 68-37 overall, 31-23 in conference (with a slight downward trajectory at the end). Enfield's last three seasons: 71-35 overall, 31-23 in conference. Pretty damn similar, wouldn't you say?

2019 DB Recruiting

Adam/Chris - I have heard from sources that USC may like Chris Steele at safety more than cornerback (and they love him at cornerback- speaks to his talent as a player). Assuming the only out of state DB recruit we get is Erick Young, who do we go after for the other DB slots? (assuming Steele commits to SC)

As the McNair-NCAA trial wraps up....

After hearing what went on from multiple sources these items stick out at me.....

1. The NCAA said in essence that they swapped a one year television ban for the more severe sanctions. First off that TV ban affects the PAC12, all the USC OOC opponents and TV stations. For such a minor event with no prior modern sanction as precedent the NCAA likely faced a loss to a joint suit formed by all those affected That NCAA statement is baloney.

2. Paluto, a voting member of the committee, said in an e-mail that she had seen the Bush would be agent on TV interview and he appeared very credible and convinced her. This was prior to the voting and a major reason she and possibly those reading the e-mail should have recused themselves.

3.By nailing a coach the sanctions of one year 3 scholarship loss was apparently amped up to 10 times that effect with a 30 scholarship loss and 2 bowl year ban. The latter also enabled the ability of seniors and 4th year juniors to transfer without delay and resulted in another 8-10 losses of scholarship players for USC. That loss rippled through and there were games when USC played with less that 50 players. A situation that created unsafe conditions for the players.

I hate having to go through that charade of the NCAA again but here's hoping that McNair in his patience nails the NCAA and that people see this group for what it truly is with their thinly veiled set of biases.

USC is expressing interest in Cornell transfer Stone Gettings

Cornell transfer Stone Gettings tells me he is receiving interest from the following schools: Cal, Stanford, Arizona, USC, Auburn, Butler, Vanderbilt, UCSB, and USF. He adds: "A few others have offered a lot of interest."

Gettings will graduate in December and use next season as a redshirt year. He's a really talented player, who averaged 16.7 points and 6.6 rebounds per game last season with the Big Red. He's a West Coast kid, originally hailing from Malibu, California.
