Recruiting USC summer football camps announced

CLAY HELTON 2018 USC SUMMER FOOTBALL CAMPS ANNOUNCED

LOS ANGELES--Six USC summer football camps, conducted by head coach Clay Helton of the defending Pac-12 champion Trojans along with his coaching staff, current players and guest coaches from other NCAA Division I teams, will be held in June.

All USC football camps are open to any and all entrants and positions (limited only by number, age and/or grade level) and are hosted at the USC football facilities, including Howard Jones/Brian Kennedy Fields, the John McKay Center and Heritage Hall.

The Rising Stars Camp, open to players of all positions entering grades 9 through 12, will be on June 10.

The USC Specialists Camp on June 23 is open to players of all positions, but will focus primarily on instruction to kickers, punters and long snappers entering grades 9 through 12.

There will be a Middle School Camp, for players entering grades 6 through 8, on June 14, as well as a "Trojans In Training" Camp, for players entering grades 3 through 5, on June 24.

There also will be a pair of USC 7-On-7 Tournaments, open to any and all teams composed of players entering grades 9 through 12. Session I will be held on June 9 and Session II on June 16.

For more information and to register online, go to www.fightoncamps.com .

To register a team for either of the USC 7-On-7 Tournaments, call the USC Football Office at (213) 740-4204.

Recruiting Note on a DE target...

I've just confirmed that DE George Karlaftis is expected to visit USC's campus officially June 22-25.

Karlaftis committed to Purdue back in October of 2017. The Boilermakers seemed to be in a battle with Miami (Fla.) and Michigan for his services at the time.

USC offered him a scholarship after he pledged to Purdue.

The Trojans aren't the only major football program he continues to look at. He's expected to visit Florida in June as well. Alabama, Clemson and Michigan are also heavily involved. Michigan offered his younger brother at end of March while hosting both prospects.

We would be surprised if the Trojans pulled off this flip but a visit is promising news.

I caught up with a couple of 2020 USC hoops targets: Ziaire Williams and Jaylen Clark

Hey guys, this is Ben from GoldenBearReport.com swinging by. I caught up with a couple of USC hoops targets over the weekend: 2020 4-star small forward Ziaire Williams and 2020 4-star shooting guard Jaylen Clark.

Williams picked up offers from USC, UCLA, and Virginia over this past weekend and already has offers from Cal and Stanford as well. He says he visits both USC and UCLA rather frequently since they are really close by (Sherman Oaks, CA). Click here to read the article.

Clark has offers from Cal, USC, UCLA, and some other schools. He is planning to visit USC, UCLA, Cal, and Stanford (if they offer) sometime in June with his dad. They're planning on making it a road trip of sorts. Click here to read the article.

An Open Letter To Chris Swanson And His Mods

This is purportedly a SC Fan Site. A football site or at least a SC sports site!

I am surprised, disappointed and angered that you allow, not just political diatribe on this site, but that you allow biased, untruthful political rants and propaganda to take up many inches of space, or any for that matter.

Todays disgorging of vomit from a poster who has a history of zealous partisianship is, for me, beyond any pale. Whether we are discussing one political bent or another, it has no business on this site. This poster's particular demented political shit storm, which you appear to agree with, or at least consent to, by your silence and inaction, is political propaganda, to put it as politely as possible.

I have stuck with this site through the evolvements, but today's diarrhea from this poster is one post too many. I don't throw down threats or challenges. I am simply stating that it is him or me. It is also about you. Who you are and whether bucks outweigh principles.

If you continue to allow these outrageous and nauseous political postings on this site, I, quite simply am gone. I subscribe to another site, which would never allow this poster to dirty it's site with his filth, and if I feel I want a second SC site, they are available.

I feel my loyalty, by remaining a subscriber when my original site transferred, has been undermined, if not rendered a big mistake. Make no mistake. I am not speaking in general, about sports coverage, the lack thereof or the football program. I am addressing the question of content on this site, and whether or not it is going to remain a SC athletics site in general, and a football one in particular.

If I want what this poster has to offer, I will tune in Fox News. If not, I will tune in MSNBC. I absolutely do not want to screen up this site for anything but sports!
