Cb play

if we sign the class that we think we will at corner this year, 3 of the top 10 corners for 2019 are in California. So we could (with the right coaching ) end up with some pretty highly ranked corners along with the safeties we signed the secondary could be legit in years to come.

Tremblay

His film looks really good!! Next year we are officially out of the sanction hole as far as I'm concerned. We have depth and enough upper classmen to be on a level playing field with other teams.

The depth chart looks really good. Now we just need the highly rated OL who have been in the program 3 and 4 years to live up to their ranking. I really hope Chuma stays, but I suspect he leaves. If Chuma, Darnold and Cam all stayed I would finally agree we are a top 4 team. If they all leave I think we struggle a bit next year especially given our schedule.

Would someone like to explain why SC....

Year after year despite all the talk of more use of the tight end position continues to struggle in that area getting the ball to its people? You get to see other teams especially ones like Stanford use multiple tight ends not only for blocking purposes but as an offensive weapon down the seam or in the red zone... We do not come close to getting the maximum production out of these players and I want to know why?.. and don't tell me it's because of injuries.

For Helton a lesson to learn not to reap it again

Do not waste scholarship like there is no tomorrow or limitation. No reason to hand over two scholarships to kickers and waste another punter and kicker are not worthy. The same is true evaluate recruits before they sign, you wasted so many scholarships players cannot play, they are many of them sitting. We brought injured CB will not play, others WRs and DBs too. Manage what you have like Pete used to do, always keep one or two for safety net for any top player transfer.

I hate borrowing from the future like the morons Lakers management gave all their future drafts for aged players did not do anything but destroyed the franchise.

JT Daniels in the mix?

I read in the OC Register, that if JT can swing getting into SC, he might have a real chance of being the no. 1 QB. Everyone can speculate, but it is one thing playing behind a massive Mater Dei Offense line against most undersized High school players in CIF division 1, what are his chances to be ready for Division 1 College Football?

Donte Williams

Some murmurs he might be an addition to our staff. I was trying to do some due diligence on him and this thread on the Nebraska board discussing his coaching acumen is right up that alley, but is Rivals premium. Anyone have super access that can give us a synopsis. I already know Donte is an elite recruiter. Just wondering about his coaching tools.

Best Petros Story...

Watching the 1999 USC vs UCLA game on P12 Network. They showed Petros on the sideline, and it reminded me of a hilarious story of his greatest shining moment. Found this in the LA Times archives.

Listen to the story that Petros Papadakis tells, his personal slice of the historic rivalry between USC and Notre Dame.

In the fall of 1998, the former USC tailback was determined to fulfill a dream by scoring against the Irish. Even better, he knew that the venerable Keith Jackson would be in the broadcast booth.

"I desperately wanted him to say my name on television," Papadakis recalled.

The game stayed close into the third quarter as the Trojans drove to the two-yard line -- perfect for a back who specialized in short-yardage situations. This was his big chance.

Except the coaches decided Carson Palmer should run a quarterback bootleg, leaving Papadakis the thankless task of faking a dive play into the line.

“I basically got destroyed," he said. "Got the wind knocked out of me. I'm on the ground half-dead. Carson walks in for the winning touchdown."

Still, Papadakis had one more shot at glory. Watching a tape of the game, he hoped Jackson might have praised his dramatic plunge. And, as he recalls, the announcer did. Sort of.

"Chad Morton with a great fake!"

Yea, he is a goofball. But he is our goofball.
