Much has been written about SB 206 and what will happen to football and basketball players. Thought I would share a tidbit from a local non-revenue sport angle. My daughter plays club soccer and her club has matriculated players to top level college programs. There is already discussion of using the likeness of a player if she goes to let’s say Stanford as a boost to recruiting for the club. I imagine other clubs will do the same down the road. I find this interesting as very few soccer players receive full rides, as 50% or 25% scholarships are more the norm.
