*Barry coached SC before and after WWII, where he entered US Navy at age 49 as Lt. Commander. College Basketball HOF member. Person most responsible for the elimination of the center jump after every free throw and basket, resulted in much faster-paced game; and move to create the center line and 10-second rule. He was the inventor of the triangle offense, pupil Tex Winter refined it to bring great recent successes to the NBA champion Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Lakers teams. Sent Alex Hannum, Jack Nichols and Bill Sharman to the NBA. Also coached Baseball (360-141-40) from 1929 to 1942 as head coach and co-coach with Rod Dedeaux from 1946-50 and Football (18 yrs as an assistant, second only to Marv Goux's 26 yrs)----WOW!

**Boyd's 1971 team is regarded as possibly SCs best and was 24–2, No. 5 in the nation (both losses to No. 1 ucla - no NCAA tournament that season, only conference champions). His wins over UCLA in 1969 and 1970 were UCLA's first losses in Pauley Pavilion, built in 1966. Twice Conference Coach of the Year. He sent 10 players into the NBA, including Paul Westphal, Mo Layton, Gus Williams, Ron Riley and Cliff Robinson.

# Enfield's record is thru 01/17/23 - needs 65 wins to be winningest coach in USC history, 6 NBA draft picks (Chimezie Metu, De'Anthony Melton, Kevin Porter, Jr., Onyeka Okongwu, Evan Mobley, Isaiah Mobley)

*** Twogood was assistant to Sam Barry and assumed the head coach role, after Barry's sudden passing. Played basketball and baseball at University of Iowa, then had a stint in minor league baseball. He was a USN Lt. Commander in WWII. Also coached baseball at Idaho in 1937-41 (34-90 record). Sent John Rudometkin and John Block to the NBA. After retiring as USC head coach in 1966, he served as an assistant AD until 1972, until his death of cancer.
