It’s stunning to see uneducated, ignorant, out of touch athletes protesting in support of false narratives. Call me cynical but personal marketing and money are what’s motivating most of these former leaders to become lemmings. They have joined the “go along to get along“ crowd that bows to the approval of the social media mob to stay relevant. To not do so runs the risk of being canceled and having their careers ruined. Fascism in action. History will show they and their corporate masters were dupes in an attempt to divide our country. Their reward should be cancellation by the fans until they have the courage to divest themselves of using sport as a political platform. One can only hope that athletes like LeBron wake up before they destroy their legacies.
