In a list of best college football programs ever, USC easily placed No. 1 in the Pac-12 but No. 6 overall.
That's according to College Football News, which published its rankings last year and explained its formula here. Surprisingly, Oklahoma placed first, Alabama second, Ohio State third, Notre Dame fourth and Michigan fifth. UCLA was second among Pac-12 schools at 16th.
I tweeted on Monday that national titles weren't given enough significance in CFN’s list and that USC would go on sanctions again before trading resumes with Oklahoma, Michigan or Ohio State. So we ask:
Where does USC rank all-time among college football programs? What's your top five?
