It would be an understatement to say Deontay Burnett has been on fire since the Rose Bowl. He actually just reeled off one of the best four-game stretches in USC history.

I researched every game log from this century and found that Burnett's past four contests stack up with every great Trojans receiver over that time. In fact, he's been more productive than all but three of them: Mike Williams, Marqise Lee and Nelson Agholor.

Here is a list of USC's best four-game streaks since 2000 (receptions-yards-touchdowns):
  • Mike Williams: 34-600-7 (2002)
  • Dwayne Jarrett: 31-512-6 (2005)
  • Steve Smith: 28-552-5 (2006)
  • Robert Woods: 39-541-4 (2011)
  • Marqise Lee: 47-821-6 (2012) ... Lee also put up a 42-674-7 over a completely different four-game period between 2011-12
  • Nelson Agholor: 40-674-6 (2014)
  • JuJu Smith-Schuster: 27-537-6 (2015)
  • Deontay Burnett: 37-550-7 (2016-17)
Three seasons I'd love to have more data on are Johnnie Morton's All-American campaign (1993) and Keyshawn Johnson's two years in cardinal and gold (1994-95) -- both players might have posted four-game stretches comparable to those listed above.
