Listened to a podcast on UCLA and specifically that Chip Kelly is working on their own star/recruiting system. Completely disregarding what recruiting companies have to offer. Not tapping into 7 on 7 “organizations”.
It’s really a fascinating tactic to watch and see how it plays out in 2-4 years with the UCLA program. Focus more on development vs high school star rating.
Doesn’t let players take officials after they have committed. Doesn’t offer a lot of scholarships, which is the norm by all top programs these days. Doesn’t recruit players in early months of the year.
