There has been some concern about the status of 2019 safety signee Dorian Hewett, who has yet to make it to campus.
I talked to him today and he said he's set to move in on Aug. 1 now after completed some remaining academic requirements.
"Let them know everything is good now and I'll be there August 1," he said. "I had to finish some things from school for me to be able to leave. It was some stress, but I did what I had to do. Now I'm ready to get down there and go to work."
Hewett, a 3-star safety from North Shore HS in Houston, Texas, is an intriguing member of USC's deep freshman DB class as he's also a track standout who brings plus-speed to the field. He closed a 10.33 in the 100 meters at the Texas 6A regional meet.
