From USC: McLaughlin will travel to Australia with Pac-12 All-Star team

LOS ANGELES – USC point guard Jordan McLaughlin will travel to Melbourne, Australia this July as part of the Pac-12 All-Star team which will play a series of exhibition games and experiences, it was announced by the Pac-12 on May 31.

The 12-man team Pac-12 All-Star team will play two games against the Australian Men’s National Team (July 12 and July 14) and a third contest versus a team from the semi-professional South East Australian Basketball League (July 10).

“This tour of Australia marks an important step forward in the Pac-12’s mission to use the power of sport to advance our school’s reach around the world, and to give our student-athletes opportunities to learn about a new culture while playing a sport they love,” said Pac- 12 Commissioner Larry Scott.

McLaughlin was named a Pac-12 All-Conference honorable mention for the 2015-16 season as he averaged 13.4 points, 3.8 rebounds and 4.7 assists. He was one of two Trojans to start all 34 games and set the school single-game assist record when he recorded 16 vs. Lafayette on Dec. 23, 2015.
