Defense:

I hope the coaches look no further than last year's game. Stanford will pretty much look to do the same thing they did last year except for better execution in the Red Zone. They moved the ball up and down the field and then had penalties and mishaps in the Red Zone that really affected the outcome.

They are who they are. They will run and run and look to use play action and exploit the middle of the field behind the linebackers. They know that linebackers will be sucked up for the run. They will use TE's down the middle and WR's on crossing routes (they know they can't beat our DB's one on one on vertical routes but horizontal behind the LBers is vacant).

Key to the game on Defense will be our Safety play. I look for CHawk to have a huge impact on the game. Hoping for an interception and several pass break ups. If we are too soft they will get chunk yardage here and flip the field.

Secondly, screens and tunnel screens will be used if we are too aggressive so Linebackers need to stay alert.

Offense:

Stanford is big and physical but not fast on D. Their only real mismatch is #34 on obvious passing downs. I would love to see some formations where we have Juju, Mitchell and Davis (in slot)or Adoree at the same time and RJII in the backfield. Spread them out so we can see where they are and then slice them up with speed.

Key to game on Offense might be Cody's pre-snap reads and his ability to get a couple of first downs with his feet. If Stanford D is off balance, we will score.
