I predict the game will go as follows. Fresh off a huge running performance against Ucla, USC is gonna be looking to run against Stanford and Stanford knows it. The problem is Usc's great run performance is partly due to a much improved running game and partly due to a tragically bad Ucla run defense the made Usc's run game look better than it really is. Want proof? Colorado ran for more yards in less carries against the putrid Ucla run defense. 56 carries for 242 yards.
So I expect fresh off a slightly misleading run domination, USC will force the run against a very smart Stanford team expecting it. Unlike the first time they played when USC caught Stanford off guard with the run after showing to be a stronger passing team, Stanford will be ready.
The good news is that Stanford's pass defense is weakened and are missing a key corner. If USC is going to win this game my feeling is they will need to pass to do it.
