I visited with Micah Tease in Tulsa, Okla., yesterday and went over his USC official visit, his other three contenders (Arkansas, Notre Dame and Texas A&M), and the factors that will play into his commitment announcement Monday night at 5 p.m. PT. USC and A&M want Tease as a CB, Arkansas is recruiting him as a WR and got him to decide late in the process to take an OV there last weekend, and Notre Dame is recruiting him as both, it seems.
It's hard to handicap. I had one other recruit who was on that official visit tell me he thought USC had a good chance to land Tease. He initially scheduled just the USC and Notre Dame visits and has been to ND four times, so those felt like the favorites to me. But he has ties to Arkansas as he noted his uncle played basketball there and a former HS teammate is there. And he hinted that he'd like to go back to A&M at some point. So it's hard to read. Sorry for the delay on posting this. I hit the wall last night after a pretty nonstop seven days of travel/interviews/writing and minimal sleep each night. I honestly hadn't gotten more than 5 hours of sleep any night since Sunday, so I got to Wichita Falls last night and just couldn't do any more work. I slept in today, which as needed, and had to do some driving, so I'm just not getting going again. I'll have a lot posted between now and tomorrow morning when I get back on the road to continue my trek home.
