Is coaching the real issue?

Ok so this post isn't to defend Riley. He has clearly made some massive mistakes with respect to playcalling, clock management and recruiting. My questions is, is there something bigger and more systemic that has caused this program to turn into what it is. We are 27th in the country in wins over the last decade among FBS schools putting us right around Houston and BYU. When Kiffin was our coach, he went 28-15. At Ole Miss he's 37-12. Sark was 12-6 at USC and 33-15 at UT (7 losses in year 1). Riley was 43-10 at OU and is 23-13 here. So clearly these guys know how to coach. But why not at USC?

So, is this who we are now? A relatively irrelevant program from a championship perspective? I'm asking these questions because I honestly do not know the answer. But it has to be bigger than coaching in my opinion. Because the records of these coaches elsewhere show they are capable of being successful.

I didn't use Clay's numbers because I don't think anyone believes he is on the level of the other three coaches I mentioned.

Looking forward to reading what y'all think.
