I posted about a month ago that Peterson was probably the best coach in the PAC 12 and got a ton of shit for it. Well guess what, he kicked the shit out of us tonight. His Defense is the #1 defense in the PAC12 right now, with average players. I mean average. They are smaller than us, slower than us, but their defensive scheme works. Their secondary blanketed our WR's all night. We didn't throw any deep balls, we certainly didn't spread the field and they kept a ton of pressure on us all night. Let's not take anything away from being out coached and out played! I spent 3/4 of the game on the UDUB sideline and listened to the coach's, players, etc. I spent about a quarter on SC's sideline with the players and coach's. Our defense couldn't stay off the field. They were let down and tired. They were so unmotivated it made me sick! Porter and Cameron were the only ones with a little life. They certainly didn't look motivated or fired up.
We got out coached, and out played! I had to listen to the best UDUB player of all time for an hour in the car ride back to OC breakdown the entire game and talk about how Washington is relieved we took Sark from their program. I also had to pay up 1K for a bet for SC losing. The thing that bothers me the most is not having to pay up 1K, but to listen to an XUDUB player who happens to be one of my best friends for a FKN year talk about how an inferior team beat the shit out of a very talented team with poor coaching! Boy did he have the last laugh! Got heckled the entire fist quarter by a bunch of SC drunks as they all wanted pictures with him. Not a peep out of the guys after the first quarter! I was trying to get the SC crowd all fired up when they were heckling him, because that's what best friends do.... he was a great sport about it, but boy does he have the last laugh! Not only did they get rid of Wilclown, we got their 7 win coach. We will be lucky to win 6 games at this pace! Cal & Utah will make us look like a Pop Warner team unless the shit hits the fan!
I would have taken Peterson over SARK in a hot second! So for all of those critics, go screw yourself!
