Riley Smith of Ventura C.C. may be only a two-star prospect but he's got heavy hitters after him. 'SC is coming after him hard and Smith, a 5-foot-11 speedster with a sub-4.4 40-yard dash, visited yesterday.
He was only about 5'9 coming out of high school and his circumstances were very unique. When he was seven one of his brothers was shot. Then in high school another brother battled drug addiction and bounced in and out of prison. He took a year off to work and really support his family after high school, hence the JUCO route. He's a 3.0 student so grades aren't a concern, and he's still running a sub-4.4/40.
Doesn't have major offers yet but is definitely on the radar of a lot of schools.
