Hey guys, in case you're wondering, here's the deal with PRPs:
USC's compliance has asked that the media not attend the player-run practices held at Howard Jones this summer. The ones at Cromwell are open because they take place at a public facility. The rub is none of the PRPs have been at Cromwell (and I've been told there are none currently scheduled there).
Now, the reason compliance is placing restrictions on PRPs is because of new NCAA rules regarding time management. Having media present for workouts at Howard Jones, which has been designated a private facility, would count toward the team's countable hours for each week. I learned of all this after attending the first PRP, last Tuesday, and thus am respecting the wishes of compliance and not attending workouts at Howard Jones. If a PRP takes place at Cromwell, I will do my best to be there.
