The Council for Aid to Education reported USC was third in fundraising in 2015, behind only Stanford and Harvard. In the last three years SC has been in the top three in raising money. Last year $653 million was raised. That sum does not include pledges, only money received by USC.
According to reports George Lucas has donated $317 million to USC through his foundation. That is the most by any individual.
