As we continue the cannibalization here on our board and what is SC football these days thought I'd post something to change the pace.
For a small market team to spend like this has never worked out as history shows us, RoidRod, Stanton, etc.
I think the Pads would have been better served to bring in a CJ Pollak type and some from line pitching for the same dollars. Machos numbers outside of Camden are pedestrian at best i.e. his finish with the Dodgers last year and stats.
Machado at Camden Yard 314 BA with 983 ops
At all other parks 256 with 783 ops
