DA: Dodgers' Bauer won't face criminal charges
The L.A. County DA's Office says Trevor Bauer will not face criminal charges after allegations of assault against the Dodgers pitcher. MLB says its investigation is ongoing. Bauer posted a video on social media, denying the allegations.

I have seen no evidence that Trevor Bauer did anything wrong. DA said not see enough evidence, Bauer denied all charges and a judge said his accuser was materially misleading. I am sure baseball will try to throw the book at him for having sex other than approved by the church, but I hope he fights it all the way and wins arbitration. Men have rights too and should not be extorted or tried in the press. There is simply no compelling evidence that he did anything wrong, while it's clear this woman was hoping for a settlement based on her text messages. If I were Bauer I would sue her for defamation among other things.
Bill Plaschke is the most irresponsible reporter I have seen calling for the Dodgers to breach their contract and abandon their pitcher. That guys was wrong from the beginning and has no idea what happened, but can't stop from being judge, jury and executioner from behind a keyboard. What a clown.
