President Joe Biden vows to 'act fast' on another round of Covid relief

As Democrats cleared the way to approve his $1.9 trillion Covid-19 relief package, President Joe Biden vowed to push forward despite Republican arguments that he is spending too much. Biden also promised to deliver $1,400 stimulus checks, refusing calls from some Republicans to reduce the amount. “I know some in Congress think we’ve already done enough to deal with the crisis,” Biden said. “That’s not what I see. I see enormous pain in our country. A lot of folks out of work, a lot of folks going hungry. I am going to act, and I am going to act fast.”
