News from Thursday's practice...
Shells and shorts today.
A lot of players were either held back or did not practice.
Cody Kessler, Anthony Sarao and Taylor McNamara arrived late and didn't practice because they were at a grad school orientation.
Su'a Cravens, Jordan Simmons, Tre Madden and Justin Davis did not practice. Sark said Cravens was experiencing some back spasms and Davis had a rib contusion.
Kevin Scott arrived later wearing full braces on both knees.
Steven Mitchell exited practice following a touchdown catch early in 11-on-11s. Sark said he rolled an ankle and was held out for precautionary reasons.
Connor Spears also didn't finish practice as trainers tended to his right shoulder.
Chad Wheeler was a light participant after being hit in the head with a medicine ball.
Matt Boermeester (hip) practiced field goals on the side and then later with the team. Alex Wood alternated attempts with him.
Adoree' Jackson also attempted a field goal, and he made it. Of course.
Kevon Seymour increased his workload, participating in 7-on-7 and 11-on-11 periods.
Sark said Claude Pelon could return in 1-3 weeks.
USC will practice again Friday at 2:30 p.m. It is open to the public.
