News from Saturday's practice ...

Kevon Seymour went down while backpedaling vs. a receiver and suffered a knee injury. Coach Steve Sarkisian was not made available to the media after practice, which was planned, but said through a spokesperson that Seymour "banged his knee, nothing serious."

Seymour needed help walking off the field during practice and sat with a large ice pack on his knee. He later appeared to be flexing it. Seymour, who did not exit practice until it had concluded, was able to walk off under his own power.

John Plattenburg, who has been out most of the past week with a hip pointer, was a full participant.

Tre Madden significantly increased his workload compared to Wednesday and Friday morning's practice.

Justin Davis (hamstring) and Quinton Powell (concussion) were out. Viane Talamaivao (hamstring) was a light participant in individuals. Noah Jefferson was without a brace but did not participate in team drills.

La Puente Bishop Amat receiver Tyler Vaughns was in attendance.

USC's next practice is Sunday at 2:30 and is open to the public.
