News updates from today's practice ...
USC began its week a day early because of Friday's game at Colorado.
JuJu Smith-Schuster (hand) was basically held out. He ran a few drills in which there were no defenders. He also pantomimed routes during 11-on-11 drills. I hadn't seen this before. JuJu literally stood about 15 yards deep, lined up directly behind the outside receiver and ran the exact same route. He's just from a different mold.
Tre Madden (knee) was very limited. Clay Helton and Johnny Nansen characterized his lack of involvement in the game the result of his health and not the fumbled exchange. Nansen said Madden will play Friday.
Jonathan Lockett (groin) returned to practice and got a sizable amount of reps in team periods.
Leon McQuay (knee) did a bit of scout team and took mental reps during 11-on-11.
Cam Smith (shoulder) was limited. He's scheduled to have an MRI today. Helton said he's expected to play.
Ajene Harris (hip), who's out for the season, was lightly involve din 1-on-1 drills. He had said over the summer his target date to return to practice was November.
Adoree' Jackson practiced exclusively on defense.
Rasheem Green took some reps with the first team.
