Clay Helton said C Khaliel Rodgers will be a game-time decision for Saturday.
Nico Falah has taken all the first-team reps this week and Viane Talamaivao has been with the twos. Helton said Rodgers' mindset is that he wants to play. But being that size with a high ankle sprain, his best-case scenario might be as the emergency option at center. I'd consider him doubtful.
Helton said LB Osa Masina (hamstring) should be available. Masina was sidelined for the first time this season last week.
Helton said S Leon McQuay (knee) is "close" and might be an emergency option. McQuay has missed the past four games.
Helton noted that the play of the offensive and defensive lines is the biggest reason USC has been winning. Those areas, of course, have been staples for Stanford's success the past several years. Helton said this particular Cardinal team is utilizing its skill players more than it has in the past.
