News updates from Steve Sarkisian's presser following Tuesday's closed practice ...
- Claude Pelon has a high ankle sprain. X-rays came back negative. Pelon attended practice in a boot. He'll undergo more tests Wednesday.
- Kevon Seymour will play Thursday.
- Darreus Rogers did some running today, so Sark isn't ruling him out. (Again, I'd consider him doubtful.)
- Sark singled out the improvement of Isaac Whitney and Rasheem Green.
- Turnovers remain a point of emphasis. (The team was shown a video Tuesday morning of Kam Chancellor's forced fumble from Monday night's game between Seattle and Detroit.)
- Another theme for the week is sharpening the sword. -- "We saw so many examples this past weekend of teams that maybe just didn't play to the best of their ability," Sark said. "That's the challenge that we have."
- Sark was asked about UCLA's Myles Jack going pro. While noting he didn't know where Jack stands academically, Sark said the universities deserve credit for helping student-athletes progress in their education and ultimately putting them in position to leave early. He said 10 players on USC's football team have already graduated and Max Browne, a redshirt sophomore, is on track to finish his degree at the end of this fall.
