News updates from today's practice ...

JuJu Smith-Schuster, Viane Talamaivao and Marvell Tell were all full-go. Clay Helton said he expects Talamaivao and Tell to play vs. UCLA. (JuJu doesn't necessitate confirming.)

"I expected to be back this soon," Tell said. "The doctors expected bowl game, but I feel good now. ... I feel like I didn't take any steps back while I was injured. I was taking a lot of mental reps."

Osa Masina (hamstring), Leon McQuay (knee), Quinton Powell, John Houston Jr. (back) and Matt Lopes (foot) did not practice.

Helton intimated McQuay will not play. His tear had a 4-8 week timetable.

Helton said Khaliel Rodgers is playing through two subluxed shoulders, which pop out from time to time.

Tre Madden saw a slight increase in his workload.

Isaac Whitney was champing at the bit to take a few reps in individuals. He can't be far off.

Nico Falah again took some reps at center with the first team.

Don Hill took some reps with the first team for the second consecutive day.

Helton said kicker Alex Wood is still going through concussion protocol and has not been cleared to play yet.

Adoree' Jackson got a little run on offense today after only being on defense yesterday. He also blocked a field goal but paid the price for it. Adoree' said he overran the play and therefore blocked it with his stomach.

Class of 2016 WR signee Josh Imatorbhebhe, the brother of TE Daniel Imatorbhebhe, has attended the past two practices.
