For all the obvious reasons - but the season can obviously go one of two ways here. Win - and he's got every other South opponent sans CU at home for the rest of the season, and the tiebreaker with ASU at that point. Regardless of what happens in other games, if he wins the South, that's going to be a win for Sark long term, and likely buy him some stability and support, not to mention the immediate momentum of righting the ship and winning in a place we haven't been competitive in in the last 2 tries. Yes UCLA is probably better than us right now, but that's a home game and a freshman QB, and they've shown the last 2 weeks they aren't unbeatable.
Loss obviously is a disaster, all but means the division is over at 0-2, could lead to who-knows-what kind of snowball effect, and maybe most importantly to the bottom line, will lead to a dismal attendance figure for the Thursday night UW game. Like potentially Hackett era bad.
