I know it's early, but jeez, ND has only one recruit ranked in the top 15 of his position (an offensive tackle). And 10 three-stars out of 13 total. Although USC has an unusual number of three-stars (7) it's highly likely that three or four of them will rise if they have the seasons expected of them, and we have six players ranked in the top 15 of their positions. But to keep things in perspective, Ohio State is pretty far ahead of us by comparison. Here is a comparison of the three programs: ND: Total 13; 1 Top 15; 0 5-stars; 3 4-stars; 10 3-stars. USC: Total 16; 6 Top 15; 2 5-stars; 7 4-stars; 7 3-stars. Ohio State: Total 19; 11 Top 15; 2 5-stars; 14 four-stars; 3 3-stars. Of course, if you add back in our blueshirts, we're doing a bit better. I know, I know, stars aren't very good predictors of on-field performance, but they do indicate rough probabilities of performance. On that point, ND isn't looking too good at this time.
