McCaffrey had 207 of the 262 running yards by Stanford. he had 105 of the 155 receiving yards . He had all 149 yards of special teams runbacks. And he threw an 11 yard TD. Questions...is this guy also their equipment manager, he does everything? Why knowing this coming in wasn't there a shadow or two on McCaffrey? If he wins the Heisman trophy (he has my vote but is a Sophmore) will he send thank you cards to our defensive coaches...note: 3 will have to be forwarded after yesterdays firings.

After being down 13-0 USC turned it around turning a 1st an goal at the 1 yd into a turnover on downs. and then scored 16 to take a 16-13 lead. The EP was blocked by a defensive Lineman's chest (low low kick).

USC played a lot of underclassmen. Among starters USC had 4 on offense and 6 on defense. Stanford is much different starting 8 upperclassmen (7 SRs) on offense and 9 on defense (7 seniors). One of those was RS Soph Nico Falah , who did a yeoman job, but on one play he disengaged from a tackler early and that guy came in on Kessler and caused the fumble runback for a TD that made the game 27-16. USC brought it back to 27-22 in the fourth but it degraded from there. Of the 24 players transferred in this year , 2 were JC WRs used a lot, 1 transferred-QB Towns, and only 6 of the other 21 were red shirted.

8-5 looks bad and isn't what we expected but USC according to the updated Sagarin SOS has the 3rd toughest schedule in the country How bad is this and what does it mean going forward ..... Stanford last year in 2014 BM (Before McCaffrey) was 8-5. Just saying.

Stanford is very good but the game would have been a lot closer except for that Fumble and Turnover margin of -1. And the failure on executing 3rd downs. USC was 4-11 on 3rd and 1-2 on 4th down conversions. Stanford was 7-13 and 2-3 on 3rd and 4th down conversions respectively. Tough loss but to a good team.
