I know many here were excited when DJ was reassigned from a DE to more of an OLB following his breakout freshman season. In retrospect, though, do those originally in favor of this swap still think it was the right move?
Drake is now in year three of that position swap and IMO, his disruptive efforts have lessened considerably in both his sophomore and now Junior year. Oregon St, yes, OREGON STATE routinely bullied him to capture the edge this past Saturday -- this did not happen with any regularity his freshman year when he played at 270lbs and with his hand in the ground.
With his weight is down 30-40lbs, his sacks and TFL's down, and his impact nowhere near what it was a couple of years ago I have a hard time envisioning him earning 2nd Team All-Pac12 honors, let alone a 1st Round draft projection.
