It seems pretty cut and dried to me:
1. USC and Haden are waiting to the end of season to announce his stepping down/retirement to avoid anymore distractions from a already screwed up season.
2. Or the school administration does not care/see what this whole football mess is doing to the school's reputation and perception and let's Pat continue his reign of terror on the football program.
If 1 is true then I get it. If 2 is true then any amount of board Squawking will be meaningless and ultimately the upmost in frustration.
It's pretty clear that Pat Haden has made a mess of athletics. Will the administration fix it, or not care and let the whole department continue to drift into irrelevance and mediocrity?
Hope that it is # 1 or else we will see #2 for many years
