there was a thread earlier this week re: Harbaugh and what he's done at M... Which turned into: "Jimmy is an ass and I'd rather have Pete.. He doesn't get SC".
First - I love Pete. Second - he's not coming back to SC.
My Point: Jim can coach; look at, so far, what he's done with a team that, for the most part, regressed the last 3 years under Hoke. Michigan was in the game vs Utah until the very end and since then has improved every week in every facet of the game. Coaching, starting with Harbaugh, has clearly improved that team. This isn't a post to bring Jim to SC - he's where he belongs and IMO will do great things in A2. He's not leaving any time soon.
USC tradition deserves the same coaching "status"... After a season and 5 games, I've seen enough to know that it won't get any better than what was shown on national TV tonight. An embarrassing loss - the 2nd, so far, of this season.
