Bru McCoy, as we've now been expecting for the past few days, is returning to USC.
We have learned that McCoy is working on his paperwork to enter the transfer portal, which means the freshman wide receiver will appear there either Friday or Monday. An official announcement thus wouldn't come until later next week. But his choice has been made and communicated to the relevant parties: He's transferring from Texas back to USC.
"Done deal," a well-placed source said.
As I’ve previously noted, McCoy is resigned to the fact that he’ll very likely have to sit out this season but that wasn’t a deterrent for him leaving the Longhorns. Moreover, USC has begun prepping his waiver claim for immediate eligibility.
