It doesn't seem likely that 4-star DB Nigel Knott ends up at USC at this point.

First and foremost are his questions about USC's future defensive staff.

"I don't really know who they're brining in," Knott told TrojanSports.com today.

The 5-foot-10 prospect says a lack of a defensive coordinator and DB coach impacts his decision.

"It affects me a lot because you just don't know who theyre going to get and it's getting close to signing day, so it affects my decision a lot," Knott said.

Knott was considering an official visit to USC at one point and he isn't willing to rule it out yet.

"I'm still undecided on my official visits too, I'm going to know when I get home," Knott said.

The young prospect has four trips left to take bit considering a lack of communication with USC, it seems the Trojans could get left out of the mix.

"None at all," Knott said of his communication with USC of late. "None of (the coaches) have contacted me."

Knott actually isn't even sure of who's recruiting him to USC now.

"It kind of feels like they aren't interested anymore," Knott said.

He still isn't willing to rule out USC, however.

"It just depends on who they bring in and it depends on the communication they have with me."

Knott says that if USC became more involved, he would like to see the Trojans hire an experienced defensive coordinator. He also says that he'll try to fit his final four official visits into the final three weeks of January.
