Expecting them to blow San Diego out of the water early. Torero's have a 1st year Head Coach and lost 3 of their top 4 scorers from last season.

Things to look for:

  • Productivity & Leadership of Jordan McLaughlin. Might be too much to ask for with him coming back from a shoulder injury, but we should all expect for him to have a breakout Sophomore year.

  • Elijah Stewart's progression. Has a complete offensive game with an array of moves to get off any shot. Started playing much more comfortably towards the end of the season as most Freshmen do.

  • Will Katin Reinhardt take role as being the consistent go to scorer? Witnessed him play a few times at the Drew League and he had an extra pep in his step and his handle looked a bit tighter. He's going to need to be able to hit the clutch shot and be relied upon close game situations.

  • How much as Malik Marquetti improved? and is he capable of being a defensive specialist?

  • Front Court questions. Jovanovich, Price Martin, Clark, and Garvilovich.
  1. Want to see Jovanovich take it to the next level in terms of consistency. There were games where he looked like a legitimate All PAC12 level player, and others where he completely disappeared.
  2. Price Martin was digned up most of the year, but he's very athletic and plays with a high motor. Needs to learn how to shoot better at the charity stripe because he will get fouled plenty and often banging down low.
  3. Darion Clark & Garvilovich are two seniors who need to be able to provide leadership amongst both 1st and 2nd units. Expected a lot more out of Clark last season as being anointed one of the team captains, but if he can focus on being a bruiser and enforcer in the paint he should be ok :)
  • Bennie Boatwright and Chimezie Metu much are expected from the two talented Freshman, but I hope they don't get relied upon too much especially early in the season. There is a lot of talent on the USC team that I hope the staff plays them along slowly.

All falls on the Coaching Staff. Make or break season of Enfield. Let's go!
