Great academic news. Only Stanford, which came in #1, is ahead of us among our traditional rivals. Berkeley and ucla are about 10 spots lower. Nice confirmation of USC's rapid progress. The most recent gains have been in building the kind of top-notch faculty and research programs that gain international respect. That's a hard needle to move, but USC is doing it.
