USC's tradition was built on her football excellence...there is no argument, nor should there be. However, USC, used to be known for her baseball and track dominance too. Part of those program's decline can be attributed to Title IX. However, basketball, is not hampered by those limitations. If SC ever won a NC or made it back to the Final 4, the benefits in my opinion would outweigh another football NC.
Don't get me wrong, I want another football trophy, however, I think I want a basketball one more.
