Seriously though--unlike an Ed Orgeron, (and even though it's still a bit too early to say this) Helton seems to have the goods when it comes to scheme and Xs and Os. He is a successful coach's son. He's no 40-year-old; he's a grown-ass man. He has a lot of you guys saying "best in-game adjustments since {xyz}...." Moreover, when this guy has at least one full week to prepare (and no, despite some of you guys' insistence, ND doesn't really count), we are extremely impressed with his results.
How very worried would you really be if somehow Helton does indeed end up as the USC coach, and he hires a killer DC? Be honest.
No, I don't think that our team would beat Stanford if we meet again this year (they are dominant), and running the table would be extremely hard given our injury situation, but the rest of the year should be most intriguing.
