Caught up with Morris yesterday at the Riverdale 7on7 tournament in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. A lot of USC talk obviously. He did say a couple of SEC teams, Auburn and Tennessee, are still communicating with him. However, I think Morris is pretty solid with USC and it would take a lot to convince him to go elsewhere.

Less than two weeks to Big Ten Media Days. I'll be in Indianapolis for it, of course. Miller Moss, Jonah Monheim and Kamari Ramsey will represent USC along with Lincoln Riley.

I gave these guys all kinds of crap for their traditional and social media coverage of the protests at usc that was extremely slanted. I'm not surprised to see this.

To talk recruiting and more:

The analysts seem to think Michigan is the team to beat right now, but my impression in talking to Andrew Marsh in Jacksonville was that he is truly conflicted or unclear on what his final decision will be. He told me as much in saying:

"I feel like it's almost getting harder. I just started narrowing it down more, and I'm kind of just looking for one thing to shout out at me, stand out a little bit more,."

We talked about what has resonated from his USC visit several weeks ago and where things stand with the Trojans.

But, but ...... you thought the Supreme Court was going to save him? ".....Do the crime.... do the time!", boyz. Maybe he can bunk up in jail across from Peter N ..... with Trumpy down the hall???

Let me know your thoughts or if you'd include someone I didn't!

What would be your letter grade for this offseason so far? Here’s how I see it:

Good things:
- New Defensive Staff
- Portal Additions
- Retaining Bear Alexander
- Harbaugh and DeBoer leaving

Not so good things:
- Portal defections
- Portal misses on positions of need
- HS recruiting in general
- National attention about USC’s NIL ineptitude

Feels like a C? The defensive staff is an A+, but recruiting overall and the misses in the portal are a D (if being generous), and there are more questions/concerns about the future of the program at the end of the offseason than heading into the offseason, so I don’t see how it could be better than a C. Curious to get your perspective!
