I spoke to someone who looks closely at the Rivals rankings for the network. If USC signs Isaac Taylor-Stuart and Jaylen Waddle doesn't sign with Texas, it appears the Trojans have a very very good chance to end up at number three overall in the Rivals.com team recruiting rankings

The way that USC closes is always exciting and sometimes exasperating. Even today one of the USC top recruits reaches for an opposing hat before picking up USCs. But its great finding USC slowly clawing their way up the sacred ladder of ESPN class rankings. Looking at ranking per recruit USC is actually #2 or #3, with Georgia at #1.

As to the kids, Tuliaupupu had a king kong statue and his full family for support. And he cut his long hair 13 inches to supply them to cancer victim wigs. I like this guy already.

Olaijah Griffin had a star spangled support section including Snoop Dog and Others. And popped a balloon with gold confetti synchronized with multiple USC hats

Devon Williams was cool and calm, and man I like those 6'5" Mike Williams' like receivers.

The sad part is that it is televised on ESPN…the 24/7 SEC network. The PAC12 was given minor league status since they don’t have some of the ESPN top 100, except for USC. And with the bad showing of the PAC12 in the bowl games (completely disregarding most of the SEC results) they implied that USC needs to do something to regain the overall P12 status. The major arrogance of the ESPN showed up in the last recruits' selection of Nebraska and that he said he wanted to win a "Natty" only to get a cold water dump by the announcer saying they haven't even won a BIg10 title in 9 years.

Heard from an inside source he is very close to committing to USC. Not making any guarantees - just passing on what I heard. He still hasn’t decided but we’re giving him something to think about.

Same source says we’re still fighting hard for Sewell.
