USC football is getting exactly what the admin is paying for. I want you to name one coach from coach Helton on down that is being paid in the top 15-20 in the nation for the job they do.Is coach Helton doing some on the job training? sure and so are some of our other coaches and they really are doing a good job molding young men not just football players.If you want an elite coach right now, guess what the admin won't pay for one.I believe coach Helton will become one and our admin will be happy with all the money they didn't throw at a coach who was already elite.

Due to your admirable history of using facts and statistics to support your opinions I thought these questions would be best posted for you:

We have had so much deliberation on this board about comparing our staff to others, particularly to paying top dollar for coaches. Do you have the information to provide a comparison of how much we pay ours versus other top tier programs?

Secondly, is there relevance? In other words, do programs that pay more truly have more of a chance to achieve entrance into the college football playoffs?

I see us finishing with no more than one loss through the conference season. We have a weak ass schedule and we have drop kicked the pac 12 in recruiting every year. Our oline has to be somewhat better. SC will out talent every team on the field by a long shot. The defense should be championship level. One of our three highly rated qbs has to be decent.

Honestly if we miss the playoffs in Clay’s third year with that weak schedule and all the talent we have, I will finally be on the band wagon to get a big name coach.

Today is the start of the contact period. We reached out to every unsigned target (who's not on an official visit to USC) to see if they've had contact with the Trojans.

Anaheim, Calif. Servite HS DB Julius Irvin says he has been in touch with a USC coach.

"Bradford came by my school today," Irvin said.

There was a recent news story out that AFL footballer Ben Griffiths would retire from the Richmond Tigers to pursue a scholarship offer from USC.

I've just been told Griffiths has been offered a scholarship from USC for the 2019 class.
