Chris and Adam Appreciation Thread

As everyone knows, we all have our differences with them when it comes to football. We all think we know best. But at the end of the day, it is just opinion. Nobody knows best, all the time. Even pete carroll should have run the ball on the 1 yard with marshawn lynch. Under no circumstances do you pass the ball over the middle of the field. If you want to pass, you roll your qb out and throw the ball away if the wr is not completely wide open. Or you give russ wilson a chance to roll out and pass or run. That pretty much guarantees that you wont have an int. But we are all fallible. Even PC.

Chris and Adam have been putting together a lot of great info. I think they work really hard. I always give them grief for not responding to all my posts. But they have 1000 other posts to respond to as well. Plus articles to write, interviews to conduct and a million other things. They probably work like 80 hours a week each.

We get into heated battles with them, but there is still is a lot great content here. I think it fine to call them out and say why you think they are wrong, but don't make it personal. This s football, not life or death. We all get info from all over the place and this is definitely a great place to get a lot of different view points on sc football. Thanks Chris and Adam.

USC 2018 FB Preview fro CFN

https://collegefootballnews.com/2018/06/usc-trojans-college-football-preview-2018

Greetings Trojan FB Fans,

I agree with most of this 5-page preview. I’m predicting a 10-2 regular season or better with potentially a couple of tough road losses as our schedule is one of top 5 toughest in the nation as always. But there is a lot to be excited about, and it starts with a veteran OL & defense. Some SC fans forget that we replaced 3 starters on the OL last season, & all 3 were All Pac-12 in 2016. Then they lost #60 Viane T. in game 4 so they played the majority of 2017 with 4 new OL starters. That’s a tough way to go for any team. Things will be much different in 2018 as we will punish defensive fronts with a solid returning group & plenty of talented depth. Remember the name of RS Frosh Jalen McKenzie. He’s going to make a name for himself sooner than later.

Defensively, we return the best group of DB’s & LB’s in the conference, & the DL will be solid with plenty of depth as well. Cam Smith is a rock in the middle & the young DL will come on strong this season. Of course, we are going with a new QB, but if JT Daniels plays as well as I believe he can as a FR, then look out. Lots of veteran talent at the skill positions plus top OL will help any of our QB’s look good in 2018. Enjoy friends & Fight On!

Football Joseph Lewis update

While it seems to be a foregone conclusion that USC wide receiver Joseph Lewis won't suit up for the Trojans again, I thought I'd pass along what a source told me. Lewis, whose jail sentence begins Friday -- he's been ordered to serve 60 days (or 30 with good behavior) -- did not complete the spring semester at USC and thus is ineligible even if he were reinstated to the team.

His working plan is to attend a JC this fall and then transfer to another Power 5 school next year. Florida State was mentioned as a possibility.

Note on the PRPs

Hey guys, in case you're wondering, here's the deal with PRPs:

USC's compliance has asked that the media not attend the player-run practices held at Howard Jones this summer. The ones at Cromwell are open because they take place at a public facility. The rub is none of the PRPs have been at Cromwell (and I've been told there are none currently scheduled there).

Now, the reason compliance is placing restrictions on PRPs is because of new NCAA rules regarding time management. Having media present for workouts at Howard Jones, which has been designated a private facility, would count toward the team's countable hours for each week. I learned of all this after attending the first PRP, last Tuesday, and thus am respecting the wishes of compliance and not attending workouts at Howard Jones. If a PRP takes place at Cromwell, I will do my best to be there.
